Land and people

  • Families living in the riverbed are to be given double-bedroom houses.
  • Landowners affected by acquisition are to get TDR or compensation. See TDR explained.
  • Spending in the 2024–25 and 2025–26 budgets was small compared with the allocations, so watch actual works, not announcements.

What it means if you are buying near the river

  • Check whether the property falls in the river’s FTL, buffer or the notified acquisition area before anything else.
  • A riverfront takes years to build; price only what exists.
